GSCC-- Grocery Store Club Cards. They really make a difference!

I recently got my credit card taken away...bummer, I know! So, I have been scavving for money the past few weeks. I sold back two of my books today and surprisingly got $100 and some change (in reality it should have been around $175..cheap ass bookstore). Excited, with cash in hand, I figured I would do some grocery shopping so I wouldn't starve.

After being in the store for eh, about 45 mintues.. Mind you, I hate going grocery shopping, I finally decide that its time to check out. As the cashier lady rung up all my food, I see the total cost going up and up and up. I'm thinking to myself, shit I may not be able to afford this.

The total comes out to $53.75, not exactly what I was looking to spend.. Then, the the cashier lady... I'll call her Bertha because I feel bad calling her cashier lady said the most beautiful thing to me...."Do you have a Safeway Club Card?"

Of course I do, I said. And with a swipe of a card, my too expensive groceries was cut down to $44.92. I had saved $8.83 with a plastic! I was so happy, and I would have to say I definitely had a successful day at the grocery store.

My advice: Definitely take advantage of those club cards because they definitely come in handy when you're working on a tight budget! :)
