Mind Vs. Heart

When it comes down to love, which do you follow.. what your mind is telling you to do, or your heart? As my emotions are literally being pulled back and forth, I question whether or not it is even worth the stress. I always find myself back at this point and have yet to learn from my mistakes. I guess when you continuously put people ahead of yourself, you're bound to get your heart ripped out of you at least once, twice, three and for me... four times.

It takes a toll on one's ego when you can care and love someone so much but don't get the same in return. The daunting questions of: "Why aren't I good enough? or What am I doing wrong?" repeats like a broken record in your head and there is no off button.

Intuition is a bitch when you have a good sense for it.

So where do I go from here? Do I stay in my current situation, or do I flee like I am so used to doing? At the moment, the answer is not clear.. but then again, how do you say goodbye to someone that you have grown to genuinely enjoy having in your life?

A Creed To Live By- Nancye Sims

Here is a poem that my mom has hanging in her cubicle at work. It's called a Creed To Live By and is written by Nancye Sims. This piece is inspiring, eye opening and has the power to get me through some tough times. I hope it does the same for you.

A Creed To Live By
Nancye Sims

Don't undermine your worth
by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different
that each of us is special.

Don't set your goals by what
other people deem important.
Only you know what is best for you.

Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life,
for without them life is meaningless.

Don't let your life slip through your fingers
by living in the past or for the future,
By living your life one day at a time.

Don't give up when you still have something to give
nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Don't be afraid to admit that you are less then perfect.
It is a fragile thread that binds each of us to each other.

Don't be afraid to encounter risks.
It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Don't shut love out of your life by saying it impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love;
The fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly;
And the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Don't dismiss your dreams.
To be without dreams is to be without hope;
to be without hope is to be without purpose.

Don't run through life so fast
that you forget not only where you have been
but also where you are going.
Life is not a race,
but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

PUB 66

Gotta love good ol' dover and PUB 66. Tuesday nights $2 draft beers and bring your own mug up to 32 oz, we all know how these nights go! ;)

A few pics from hotshotz. I know, I know... close that mouth of yours, my friends and I are sexy!

Home Sweet Home...?

Goodbye Fairfax, hello Flanders. The feeling is bittersweet to say the least, but where do I go from here? The thought of moving on is sad, intimidating and most of all scary. Am I going to find a job? Am I going to want to continue to live with my mom? How am I going to pay off my bills? Ah, the questions of an adult. AM I READY TO BE AN ADULT?

I feel like such a child.. so young, but in reality, I'm not. I graduated college....weird!

It's hard to believe that I lived in Virginia for four years, but in those four years I made a home for myself. As I drove back to Fairfax this past Thursday it felt so natural. I would get back, lay in bed, watch tv and pass out, little did I realize that in just a few days my room would be empty and I would be saying goodbye to the life I had created for myself. Fairfax is truly my home away from home and I thank everyone that is a part of my life that made that possible.

I shall be back soon, and it would be like I had never left, but I guess its time to establish myself again here in New Jersey and get my feet planted. Fairfax, you will always be in my heart, but it's time to begin a new journey....

Passing Finals

How do you feel about passing finals by guessing? It's my last final EVER, but it's my hardest. I have no desire to study what so ever, so I'm really thinking about winging it?

Good choice or worst decision ever?
